Jassi Oberai

Jassi’s interest in photography goes back as long as he can remember. He shares his love of photography with a love of travels. His camera has taken him through length and breadth of India and across the globe. Along the way he has gained a deep insight to intricacies of this sophisticated art form. Jassi is never happier than when he is wandering with his camera either on his own or while leading a group of photo enthusiasts, trying to capture a spectacle in the magical light. After having worked relentlessly for years together in association with several like organizations Jassi has ventured on his own.“As a photographer I do not restrict myself to any particular genre of photography. Overview of the Photo Tour

Get a glimpse of what’s in store

Ladakh, the ‘photographer’s pilgrimage’, Even after being a blood freezing zone it spares no one to evade the beauty it encloses.

In Ladakh, the glow of a headlamp transforms erupting steam and water into a halo around the head of a geyser. Even at a temperature of -23 degree Celsius, the water is scalding 80 degrees Celsius the boiling point at 4000m above sea level. The Shyok River sprinkles snow on any sun-starved bend, which brings to life otherwise invisible patterns on the silt and stones that make up its banks. The river itself sets ablaze by the brilliant sunset. The frozen Pangong Tso mimics the Milky Way that arches over it. In the cloudless new moon nights on the Changthang are often bright enough for stars to paint the lake ice. Chiktan’s famous colorful summer hills lie quilted in the snow, their monochrome enhanced by moonlight. Many at times great gusts of steam rise up to greet day break at Chumathang that in season puts on a mighty tones-down display.  Every bit of the landscape inspires you to capture its panorama.

The unmatched beauty of this place attracts travelers from all parts of the world. The multi-hued mountains silhouetting at a distance, the clear blue skies with occasional white clouds floating in their vastness and reflecting in the calm blue waters of the lakes. There is no doubt why it is the photographer’s paradise.
