Se la is a high mountain pass (13,700 feet / 4170 meters) in the Himalayan Rangs falling within the administrative boundary of the North-East Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It connects the Tawang and West Kameng districts of the state. This pass is covered with snow from December onwards and by the end of April becomes free of snow. Even during the summer and monsoon months, the pass experiences snowfall regularly.
For this image, the stars were captured at 2:30 am and the foreground was captured at 4:50 am on an excruciatingly cold night of March 2021.
