Photography Expedition to Norway

Norway is a Scandinavian country encircling mountains, glaciers and coastal fjords.
Landscapes of Norway offer extreme wilderness and its coast has deep fjords and steep cliffs.
Our tours will be focused in and around Lofoten. Lofoten Islands are spread across the turbulent Norwegian Sea. Known for its breathtaking and dramatic scenery, it offers immense landscape photography opportunities.
Pre Tour Analysis:
Each registered participant will be requested to submit their landscape / portrait related images. Our panel will analyse each image to see how to guide each individual during the tour to help them enhance their skills. We will also provide individual feedback to their each submitted image and suggest improvement points.
During the Tour:
Based on the analytical data available with us post “Pre Tour Analysis” we will provide individualized attention to all and ensure they work on their weaknesses and enhance their skills. Evening Gup Shup sessions will be learning oriented and practical tips will be provided based on the mistakes committed by participants during the day.
We shall also have atleast one evening session dedicated to post processing workflow to help them become a complete photographer.
After the tour:
Each participant will be required to submit 3 of his or her best images from the tour. Each image will be analysed and constructive feedback will be provided. Best of the lot will make it to our website and blog; and will be aggressively promoted on FB.
DAY 0 (Sept 29) Reach Svolvaer (Lofoten, Norway) We check-in hotel/famous cottages. spend rest of the day relaxing or exploring Fjord n Svolvaer city. If we are lucky we can even capture the dance of green at night.
DAY 1-2 (Sept 30 – Oct 01) Svolvaer – Reine Sunrise at the Svolvaer famous Fjord. Checkout after breakfast and explore the Lofoten Island. Then we will head towards the most famous and most photographed location in the world – Reine. It’s also the World’s most beautiful island according to National Geographic. And we will check in one of the most popular destinations in Lofoten – “The Eliasson Rorbuer”
We will explore Reine, Hamnoy, Ramberg, Fredvang for next 2 days.
DAY 3 (Oct 02) Reine – Lekness The Sunrise will be at waterfall, then we head to Lekness district. We will check in at Fisherman’s Cottages.
Explore the Vestavagoy island of Lofoten. We will also shoot at Uttakliev Beach, Vik beach and Haukland Beach (for Sunset)
DAY 4 (Oct 03) Lekness – Ytterstad Sunrise will be near a small village of Bostad in Vestvagoya. Then we explore the beautiful Ytterstad.
DAY 5 (Oct 04) Trondheim We catch flight for Trondheim and explore the city after check in.
DAY 6 (Oct 05) We travel to Storseisundet bridge & Trollstigen & capture the beauty of these places.
DAY 7 (Oct 06) Check Out and we take our long journey back home after the scintillating experience.

**Accommodation is on two/four people sharing basis, as few cottages have 2 bed rooms**
**Each accomodation in hotel will have private bathroom. If it’s cottage 1 bathroom will be shared by 4 person.
**Single room is available on request & it will cost extra Euro 650 and has to be paid alongwith Registration Fee
**Breakfast is free if we are in the hotel during / mentioned breakfast time but if we decide to shoot outside each one have to take care of the breakfast by themselves.

– How different are tours and photo tours?

– What is the suggested equipment for this tour?
Wide angle lenses like 10-22 or 16-35 are required to capture the beautiful landscapes and cover the majestic grandeur of Iceland. We always advise to carry a tripod to shoot spectacular low light scenes and long exposure images
– I am a rank beginner in photography / I only have a simple point and shoot camera. Can I be a part of this tour?
Oh yes very much! We always encourage every nature and travel enthusiast whether an experienced photographer or not to attend such organized photo tours. Feel free to be a part of this tour and get to take valuable tips home from our skilled team of experts and other participants as well.
– How many participants are expected to share a Room?
All participants are accommodated in twin-sharing rooms. Single supplements are charged extra. Please inquire with us about your single supplement charges.
– How will be the weather during the tour?
Iceland and Norway are mostly windy. Wind at times can be very strong. This causes wind-chill and it may appear colder than normal.
– Will there be any trekking involved?
No. There will not be any trekking involved.
